Shit in My Backyard

SEWAGE SPILL-600 gallons of raw sewage from a broken sewer line south of Hobson County Park dumped into the ocean—of course I surfed there yesterday and I was watching all these monster trucks working on the road thinking to myself, ‘I wonder what is going on.’

This morning Surfline posted the report on their front page, good on ya boys!

The thing is that they have been there working on that road since last Friday, so either they’ve been working on the spill for five days and we just found out or they caused the spill doing whatever they are doing, either way it’s not a good situation.

The Workers Health Center reports that, “raw sewage contains biological agents such as bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites that can cause serious illness and even death.”

I wonder if any of those workers are surfers? Might be a good idea to stay out of the water.
